What are the current Democratic presidential candidates views on 2nd ammendment (gun) rights?

I havent heard of any candidate who wants this amendment repealed.
Liberals are all about personal rights ( except gun rights).
“Rights? We don’t need no stinkin’ rights!”
Or something like that. I paraphrase.
Obama supports the UN resolution to get rid of them and says he supports the 2d amendment but also the DC law that basically bans them. Not quite clear on how he reconciles the two.
Hillary said her Dad took her hunting once, but I didn’t hear many specifics on how that related to freedom from gun control laws.
Ron Paul on the other hand thinks the Constitution is plain on its face and that regulations and restrictions are unconstitutional. In fact, the reason he has an B instead of an A from the NRA (McCain has a C) is that Ron Paul refused to vote for the trigger lock restriction compromise the NRA supported, because THAT was unconstitutional.
Well, HIllary and Obama aren’t banging the drum of DC violating the 2nd amendment.
Their answer is similar to the lib/socialist view for everything – more government regulation, and take away this right either by legislation or activist judges.
Step 1 to overthrowinging a Republic is to disarm the population. Once that is accomplished you can lead them where ever you want to.
That being said it is the Democrat Party’s platform to limit gun ownership as much as possible (even to the extent of prohibiting Americans from owning guns if they do not belong to a Federally-mandated “Militia”).
Neither want you or anyone to be able to own guns.
I recall one candidate insulting those who “cling to their guns and religion” as being bitter. I guess we bitter people don’t want to be forced to have an elite group rule our lives (like what already occurs in China, Myanmar, etc.).
McCain – 2nd Amendment
Obama – to remove all semi – automatic weapons from all Americans
in layman’s terms that means you can shoot it one time you then have to reload it.
I have not seen any single shot pistols
Disarm the people hey Karl Marx did that
This has been a hush-hush topic since the last election when John Kerry lost the election based primarily on his gun control platform. Even Hillary, with a notoriously anti-gun history of voting in the senate and a major proponent of the infamous Brady Bill, has now seemed to flip-flop her views and has spoken in favor of the 2nd Amendment and gun owners. Obama has alienated gun owners (as well as poor people and religious people) with his “poor people cling to religion and guns” speech. The truth is that both have a long history of anti-gun voting in Congress. They just will not talk about it right now because they know it will probable cost them the election.

Obama:
> In favor of renewing the Clinton gun ban back in 2004; “I believe we need to renew — not roll back — this common sense gun law.”
>In 2004, Obama said he supports a national ban on concealed carry because the states that allow it are “threatening the safety of Illinois residents.”
>In the 1998 Illinois State Legislative National Political Awareness Test that he favored a ban on the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.
>In 2003, Obama Voted In Support Of Legislation That “Would Have Banned Most Of The Privately Held Hunting Shotguns, Target Rifles, And Black Powder Rifles” In Illinois.
>In 2004, Obama Voted Against Self-Defense Rights.
>In 2005, Obama Voted Twice To Hold Manufacturers, Distributors, Dealers And Importers Of Firearms And Ammunition Liable For The Acts Of Criminals.
>Obama Pressed To Require Gun Owners To Supply Photos And Fingerprints To State Officials.
>Obama Wanted To Ban Gun Businesses From Being Within Five Miles Of A School Or Park, But Balked At Placing Similar Restrictions On Porn Shops
Hillary Clinton:

Look at the gun laws in Illinois. No matter how much Obama pays lip service to the NRA, it doesn’t work.
Also Obama doesn’t have the balls to put his Second Amendment views on his website, McCain says he supports the Second Amendment on his website.
Obama is anti war/violence so he wont want anybody to have guns.
Hillary has, and will always be, against the right to own guns.
If you want to own a gun go for John McCain or Bob Barr.
Obama wants to ban all guns.
Hillary isn’t much better.
With her, you could probably keep a shotgun at home, but only one.
