Is the Republican Party broke?

It’s just amazing. The job of the Republican National Committee (RNC) is to raise money to help Republicans get elected to office. Two years ago, Republicans were offered two choices to run the RNC: a black man or a white guy who spoke longingly of segregation. TO THEIR CREDIT they rejected the bigot. But how did they ever get into the position of having just those two choices. Is it more proof of the split in the Republican Party?

Oh, no, Republicans have money for the campaigns. It’s just going to a bunch of different PACs and Committees…..run by white guys.

And let’s not forget the Republican Party is supposed to be the fiscally responsible party.

Democratic candidates are boycotting a states people?

How crazy is this Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York, former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois are boycotting primaries in Michigan. What?
I can understand being angry with the state party for changing dates, but don’t the people living there still matter? Regardless of the party the people should be viewed as the most important asset to our democratic system. To write them off should be political suicide.
I do hope that whoever the people of Michigan vote for it is not one of the above mentioned. I would never vote for someone who viewed me as worthless, especially when that person is supposed to be the head servant to us, the people.
Our government and the political parties have truly gone wrong, how shameful.

Why would you vote for someone who didn’t think you where good enough for they’re time to get over internal party problems. Shows how much of your interest they care about. Michigan needs someone who cares now nearly as much as New Orleans.

Just for clarification I support no party. Never would I get my friends together to address a party issue, parties are the biggest scams.
Have you done anything…No I don’t think so…nah na na na

What do you think of the latest behavior from Clinton’s supporters?

Personally, I find it appalling and egregiously disrespectful for people who are *supposed* to represent the ideals of democracy, freedom, and rights:

Clinton exhorted supporters earlier this month to press the Democratic National Committee to seat all Michigan and Florida delegates. A torrent of angry e-mails has been sent to rules committee members since.

Typical of their tone: “You cannot willfully silence the voices of millions and then expect those voices to support you in the general election.”

“The DNC will never get another nickel from me.”

“More than ever, you … are showing your disrespect and hatred for women by your actions.”

On a more ironic note, I don’t see how stealing an election from Obama is going to make Clinton any more popular than Bush is right now.

Thoughts?

Why is the Republican Party supporting Affirmative Action?

Michael Steele became the head of the Republican National Committee today. Steele is an African-American, and despite being a member of the Republicans Party, he supports stem cell research, stronger environmental regulation, withdrawal from Iraq, health care reform, and gay marriage. On the surface, the only core Republican belief he seems to share with the old guard is belief in capitalism and fiscal responsibility. This would make him the total opposite of recent GOP icons like former President Bush.

Does this symbolize a desire for legitimate change and a shift to the center for the GOP, or are they just simply picking the black guy because he’s black?

Historically, the Republican National Committee has hand picked their presidential nominees–including Bush over McCain and 2000. So, if their leader is from the center, what does that say for the future prospects of social conservatives like Sarah Palin on a national ticket?

Will Barney Frank and his husband be attending Democrat Michael Jackson’s funeral?

Will Barney and his male Fannie Mae lover adopt Bubbles the chimp?

They shared so many common interests.
